Using NPC Skins on Your Character

To skin your character, you'll need to download a couple of things. skip this section if you already have the necessary stuff.

T-Search

PsoBB No GG Loader (not needed if using the jp patch)

Now that you have these things, extract T-Search anywhere you want. extract PsoBB2.exe into the pso directory.

run psobb2 and go to the dressing room with the char you want to skin. open up tsearch and click 'open process' pick psobb2 obviously. now hit the little magnifying glass near the open process button and change the search to a 1 byte exact value search. your screen should look like this:

now click the value box in the search window and type in the number of your costume -1. For example, i use costume 4 with my humar so i typed in 3 in the value box. then click ok and click ok again when its done searching. you will get most likely over 10,000 results so you need to keep searching to weed out the junk. go back to psobb and move up or down 1 costume. then hit the search next magnifying glass (the one with three dots) and change the search type to increased by (or decreased by if you went down a costume) and put 1 in the value box. hit ok.

the search results this time should be waaay lower than the first one. keep doing this till you get three results. when you do have three left, click on the first result and open up the hex editor.

in the hex editor you should see your name with and E or J in front of it (J in the case of people using the jp patch) scroll up and you should see your guild card number. the various highlighted bytes modify your char. read the colored text below to see what each modifies:

This byte turns NPC skin on and off. 00 for off. 02 for on.

This byte determines what NPC is used.

Section ID

Char Class

Dont know what these 2 bytes do but they are good for finding the section id, char class, and npc on/off bytes
